We are building something ambitious. At Beyondles (Germany), we build an AI Operating System: Beyondles HorAIzon. Companies use it to put AI agents to work on real business processes instead of running one-off experiments. We are not at the idea stage. The platform is built, it is live, and paying customers are on it. 👉 Now we need the second engineer to help us make it solid. 🧠 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are not looking for a traditional developer. We are looking for someone who understands how to build products in the age of AI. You should: • Be comfortable with AI-driven development ("vibe coding") • Know how to use AI tools like Claude Code to move 10x faster • Still be able to read, understand and validate code — especially code you did not write • Have experience with product architecture and scalable system design • Be able to translate product thinking into structured AI prompts • Care about clean, robust and scalable systems In short: you combine engineering thinking + AI leverage. 🔍 BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF ABOUT THIS PART This is not a greenfield project. You will spend a lot of your first weeks inside a large existing codebase that somebody else wrote. • Much of it works. • Some of it we are not sure about yet — it was built, but never really proven. • Working out which is which, and then fixing it, is the job. If "shape something from scratch" is what excites you, this role will disappoint you. If "make this real thing actually hold up under customers" excites you, keep reading. ❌ THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF • You only copy/paste AI-generated code without understanding it • You need detailed step-by-step instructions for everything • You have never worked on a real product • You cannot explain systems you have built • You ship without tests and leave debug output in the code • You go quiet for a week when you are stuck instead of asking ✅ THIS IS FOR YOU IF • You have built real products, not just tutorials • You can show working examples: GitHub, demos, live tools • You enjoy freedom and responsibility • You are comfortable improving somebody else's code without rewriting everything • You leave things better documented than you found them • You think like a builder, not just a coder • You can communicate and work in Teams 🛠️ OUR STACK TypeScript, Next.js, React, Node, PostgreSQL, Docker on Linux, and an AI agent engine with LLM integrations, prompt chains, RAG, vector databases and embeddings. Python where it fits. You do not need every single one. You do need to be genuinely strong in several of them, and honest about the rest. 🤝 HOW WE WORK • 100% remote, we work globally, async by default • Direct collaboration with the founder and with our existing developer • Fast execution, high ownership • Focus on outcomes, not hours • AI is a core part of the workflow, not an add-on 💰 COMPENSATION • Start: 20 hours per week, USD 250 per month flat, paid through Upwork • 2-month trial period. Seven days' notice on either side during the trial, no reason needed. After that, four weeks to the end of a month. Nobody is locked in. • Nothing rolls over automatically. After two months we sit down and decide together: continue or not, at what hours, at what pay. It only changes if both sides agree in writing. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the product, not just execute tasks. 📩 HOW TO APPLY (IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ) We don't care much about your CV. Instead, send us: 1. Start your message with the word ORBIT, so we know you actually read this 2. Links to projects you built: GitHub, live apps, demos 3. A short explanation: What did you build? What was your role? What broke, and how did you find the cause? 4. Which AI coding tools you use every day — and what you do not trust them with 5. Optional but highly recommended: a short 2–3 minute video explaining one of your projects One person, not an agency. Please do not apply as a team or on behalf of someone else. Generic applications get ignored. 🔥 WHY THIS IS INTERESTING • You work on a real product with real users, not a prototype • You help make an AI agent platform production-grade • You get ownership and creative freedom inside a clear mandate • You work directly with decision-makers, no layers, no ticket queue • You grow with the company, technically and financially If this resonates with you: send us a message or apply directly. Let's build something meaningful. Beyondles – AI Operating System that do real work
