Summary We’re looking for an experienced Laravel developer to build secure and scalable REST APIs for our web application. The primary focus is backend API development, third-party integrations, and AI-powered features using Large Language Model (LLM) APIs. The ideal candidate has at least 5+ years of hands-on Laravel experience building production-ready REST APIs and has experience integrating AI services such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini. What you’ll be doing • Build and maintain secure REST APIs using Laravel. • Design scalable and well-structured API architecture. • Implement API versioning and rate limiting. • Develop authentication using Laravel Sanctum, Passport, or JWT. • Integrate LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini. • Build AI-powered endpoints for chat, content generation, document analysis, or workflow automation. • Integrate third-party REST APIs and webhooks. • Prepare API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI. • Optimize database queries and application performance. • Collaborate with the frontend team for seamless API integration. Requirements • 5+ years of experience with Laravel and PHP. • Strong experience building secure REST APIs. • Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar). • Good understanding of REST, JSON, Webhooks, and API security. • Experience with MySQL database design and optimization. • Experience with Git and version control. • Ability to write clean, reusable, and well-documented code. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to Have • Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). • Prompt engineering and AI workflow automation. • Queue jobs, caching, and Redis. • Docker and cloud deployment experience.
